After the fourth episode of Game of Thrones turned out to be every bit as shocking in terms of the deaths that took place as the big Battle of Winterfell that preceded it, the makers have put out the preview for what is in all probablilty, the final battle of the entire series.

With Daenerys' forces camped outside a heavily fortified King's Landing at the end of Episode 4, the preview for five actually begins back in the strategy room of Dragonstone.

Tyrion is standing before the wall carving of a dragon while a self-satisfied looking Cersei is looking over her city, the Mountain behind her. Meanwhile, Jon Snow finally arrives at the gates of the capital, flanked by Tyrion and Ser Davos as two armies from Essos stand face to face in the war for another continent. Jon Snow's face shows signs of what a tricky battle this is likely to be, even as the Iron Fleet and the Golden company ready themselves. As Scorpions are mounted with bolts and various key characters steel themselves, Euron Greyjoy looks into the clouds, his sight hampered by the sun, and a look of shock, awe and what looks like fear dawns on his face, even as a dragon cries from far away.

The penultimate episode of each Game of Thrones season has always been among the most exciting. This is the penultimate episode of the entire series. It debuts on Monday morning IST.
