All you need to know about Shingles
The Mayo Clinic explains that shingles is caused by the varicella-zoster virus, the same virus which also causes chickenpox. After suffering from chickenpox, the virus remains in our body and years later it might reactivate as shingles. It is non-life threatening but “very painful” which looks like “a single stripe of blisters that wraps around the left side or the right side of your torso.” It can also cause nerve pain lasting for weeks or months.
