Jio Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) opening night was held on October 27 at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. Several celebrities arrived for the opening night of the film festival. Among the attendees were Priyanka Chopra who flew down from the USA to partake in the festival that will conclude on November 5. Additionally, Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Sharwari Wagh, Riteish Deshmukh and several other celebrities attended the event.

Priyanka Chopra took over the position of the chairperson of the MAMI in (Mumbai Academy Of The Moving Image) Mumbai Film Festival, in 2017 a title which was previously held by Deepika Padukone. For the biggest film festival in India, the Citadel actress flew down to Mumbai from the USA.
Priyanka arrived in the city on October 27, on the day of the opening. For the evening, the actress walked the red carpet in a white Tony Ward couture. She donned a halter neck floor-length gown teamed with a solid white long shrug. The actress greeted the paparazzi at the venue.
Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor and other stars attend
Kareena Kapoor arrived at the Jio MAMI inaugural night for the premiere of her film The Buckingham Murders. The actress posed on the red carpet with the crew of the film. Her sister, Karisma Kapoor and her husband Saif Ali Khan also attended the film festival. Sonam Kapoor was also in attendance at the event.

Tara Sutaria, Riteish Deshmukh, Kamal Hassan, Mani Ratnam also attend
Along with Priyanka Chopra, several other celebrities also walked the red carpet at the film festival. Veteran actor Kamal Haasan posed for the paparazzi at the event along with ace director Mani Ratnam. Tara Sutaria also arrived at the event in a golden-coloured Indo-western outfit. Ritesh Deshmukh, Gurmeet Choudhary and Gadar 2 fame Utkarsh Sharma were in attendance too.
Part of the film industry, the event also saw several television celebrities in attendance. Jiya Shankar walked the red carpet in a green sheer cut-out gown. Tejasswi Prakash brought the glam to the event in a shimmer black gown. Nikki Tamboli, Palak Tiwari, Sharwari Wagh attended the event too.
