Rishab Shetty talks about Kantara success: It introduced me in the entire country

Rishab Shetty, Kantara's director has discussed the responsibility after the success of his movie. He also talked about the expectations for his upcoming film.

Rishab Shetty, the popular director, star of the movie Kantara has  opened up about the movie's success. He thinks that success doesn't come easily. So, if his movie has received love and respect it means that it is a mater of responsibility after a wonderous work.

During an interview at the 54th International Film Festival of India in Goa, he said, "I am very happy and I think it's a matter of responsibility. This is my first film for an audience outside my industry. Before that I was working in the Kannada films. It's definitely a film wonder. Kantara introduced me in the entire country and gave me so much love and respect.  So, thanks to Kantara and audience. Post the success I am working a little more now, nothing more has been changed. Right now we are in full preparation of Kantara: Chapter 1.

Rishabh spills the beans on the expectations of The Kantara chapter 1

Talking about the expectations, Rishabh spills the beans, he said,  Even from Kantara, people did not expect anything. Excitement and Expectations are not my thing. This is a huge responsibility. We have released the poster and the glimpse of Kantara chapter 1, now it's upto the audience. I think it would be better to talk about the movie.

The filming for Kantara Chapter 1 is scheduled to kick off at the end of December. Although the cast is currently undisclosed, the first look of the movie teases a journey into a parallel world filled with extraordinary storytelling. Kantara Chapter 1 is produced by Hombale Films.

The first look teaser of the upcoming Rishab Shetty-starrer film Kantara Chapter 1 was unveiled and it promises a captivating ride through its cinematic journey. The film is a prequel to Shetty’s 2022 Kannada origin pan-India film Kantara, which told the story of a deity Panjurli Daiva, who protects a village and the forest under which the village falls.

Produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda, Kantara also stars Sapthami Gowda, and Kishore Kumar G. Kantara has earned over ₹400 crore globally. The Kannada version of Kantara released on the big screens on September 30, 2022. The Hindi version released on October 14, 2022.
