12th Fail hit the big screens on October 27 and premiered on OTT on December 29. Ever since its digital debut, the film has been receiving critical acclaim and appreciation for its performances. Kangana Ranaut has joined the brigade of people heaping praise on the film and the actors. The Queen actress took to her social media account to share a note of appreciation for the Vidhu Vinod Chopra directorial and Vikrant Massey’s performance. 

Kangana Ranaut admits weeping profusely while watching 12th Fail 

On January 4, Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram stories to share her review of 12th Fail. The actress shared that she watched the films on a flight and cried profusely, embarrassing herself in front of other passengers. She mentioned, “What a terrific film. Coming from Hindi medium myself belonging to a rural village and being a general caste student for entry tests without reservations in my school years, I was weeping throughout the film, ufff never cried so much in a flight, my co-passengers were stealing concerned glances at me, I am embarrassed.”  

In a follow-up post, the actress heaped praises on the lead actor Vikrant Massey. She went ot the length of comparing him with the late actor Irrfan Khan. Kangana wrote, “Vidhu sir has won my heart all over again, Vikrant Massey is beyond amazing!! In his coming years he might just fill the void Irfan Khan saab left behind...salutations to your talent dear one.” The post is yet ot garner Vikrant’s attention.

When Kangana Ranaut called Vikrant Massey ‘cockroach’ 

When Vikrant jokingly referred to his friend, Himachali starlet Yami Gautam, as "Radhe Maa" in a photo from her wedding to Aditya Dhar in 2021, Kangana referred to him as a "cockroach." Kangana became enraged with him and referred to Vikrant by derogatory terms on Instagram, drawing widespread attention.

The untoward remark came after Yami Gautam uploaded her wedding pictures on which Vikrant commented, “Pure and pious like Radhe Maa”. This seemed to have offended Kangana who wrote, bak, “Kahan se nikla ye cockroach. Laao meri chappal (Where did this cockroach come from, bring my slippers).” Kangana’s comments went viral on social media.
