Aamir Khan has been busy shooting for Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by RS Prasanna. This film is an adaptation of the 2018 Spanish movie Campeones and will feature Aamir Khan alongside Genelia Deshmukh. Speculation has been rife about the film's release during Christmas 2024, but there had been no official confirmation until recently. Co-producer Ravi Bhagchandka has now addressed these rumours.

When will Sitaare Zameen Par release in theatres?

In an interview with Mid-Day, Ravi Bhagchandka mentioned that it's still "too early to take a call" on the release date for Sitaare Zameen Par. Reflecting on his first encounter with the original Spanish film Campeones at the 2018 Berlin Film Festival, Bhagchandka recalled being impressed by the trailer and subsequently enjoying the full screening. This positive experience led him to acquire the rights for the adaptation.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan's most recent theatrical release was Laal Singh Chaddha, directed by Advait Chandan. Despite reuniting with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh, his co-stars from 3 Idiots, the film did not perform well at the box office. Laal Singh Chaddha was the Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump.
