Abhishek Bachchan Talks About The Evolving Idea Of Stars

Abhishek Bachchan, who has evolved as a leading actor being an industry kid has seen it all. He will be seen participating in the special session at the 'Jagran Cinema Summit', which will be held on Friday, September 21.  The summit will witness Abhishek Bachchan in conversation with Mayank Shekhar. 

'The Jagran Cinema Summit' is a day-long series of events that would focus on the future of cinema through conversations, panel discussions and detailed presentations. The afternoon will start with a kick-off session with director Rohit Shetty, in conversation with Mayank Shekhar, on 'How to become Audience’s BFF (Best Friend Forever)?'

This would be followed by a presentation on 'How Effects Make Cinema Special' and 'How Visual Effects Have Become An Integral Part Of Filmmaking' by Rajeev Kumar - Founder, Drishyam VFX and Danny Wilson - VFX Supervisor, Drishyam VFX. Post that, the 'Manmarziyan' actor Abhishek Bachchan will be seen in an intense conversation with Mayank Shekhar on 'The Evolving Idea Of A Bollywood Star.'

"In today’s scenario, solely being a part of a blockbuster film, does not qualify as being a Bollywood star," he shared. 

The summit will then gather around for the Plenary Panel Discussion moderated by Mayank Shekhar, that will comprise of the most important discussion on, 'Would cinemas survive?' The panel will include filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane, Director Ritesh Batra, Star Fox India CEO Vijay Singh, Actor & Director Nandita Das, Producer Dinesh Vijan, Cinepolis Strategic initiatives Director Devang Sampat, Ding Founder and digital producer Tanveer Bookwala and Actor Vivaan Shah. 

Later there would be a presentation on 'Way Forward For Cinematic Virtual Reality' by Chaitanya Chinchlikar from the 'Whistling Woods VR Lab'. The summit will conclude with a conversation on 'Is it time to go OTT on OTT?' With Producer Ekta Kapoor and Mayank Shekhar. With a plethora of high profile actors, filmmakers, marketers, and distributors sharing their insights on the imminent future of cinema, this exclusive summit is aiming to pave the way for opportunities across all areas in the Indian film industry.

Abhishek Bachchan was recently seen in the movie 'Manmarziyan' alongside Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles.
