Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan raise eyebrows by deleting similar tweets

What made Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt deleted their respective tweets recently? Was it something to do with their upcoming film ‘Brahmastra’? Was trolling the reason? Several questions came to the netizens' minds after the two actors posted the map of Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj and then deleted it. Alia along with the picture, wrote, “So so so excited for this! Find out soon! #Prayagraj.” They are apparently trolled for it.

On Wednesday, Alia along with the picture, wrote, “So so so excited for this! Find out soon! #Prayagraj.”

While the actress post didn’t give any idea on what it could all be about, Big B's words seemed to hint about it being a film. He tweeted, "Ek anokhi kahani, ek anokha aarambh' (a unique story, a unique beginning)."

For the unversed, Prayagraj was known as Allahabad and was renamed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government in October last year and Centre approved it in January 2019. The only other connection to Prayagraj is that Bachchan was born and brought up in Allahabad.

As per reports, netizens trolled the actors for sharing the pictures at a time when the country is facing a trying time with its battle against terrorism from Pakistan and conflict with the neighbouring country. And that could be the probable reason for taking off the tweets.

‘Brahmastra’, also starring Ranbir Kapoor, is an adventure action drama directed by Ayan Mukerji. The film, produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios, hits the screens around Christmas this year. 'Brahmastra' also stars Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna, among others.
