Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh's YRF Spy Universe Film Gets Its Title, Movie Goes On The Floors

The YRF spy universe is getting bigger. Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh's film, which will be part of the action universe, has gone on the floors. On the occasion, the film's title was also revealed by the production house. The first female-led spyverse film starring Alia and Sharvari has been titled Alpha. The actioner will be directed by Shiv Rawail, who helmed YRF's maiden web series The Railway Men.

Will War 2 and Alpha witness a crossover?

Alpha makes the second YRF spyverse film which is currently in production. War 2 with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR has also been filming since early this year and is expected to wrap up shooting before the year ends. Not much is known about Alpha, except the main cast. More details will follow soon. With War 2 and Alpha filming simultaneously, it could very well be that the characters might crossover into each other's world.

Alia's other films that are lined up

Apart from Alpha, Alia will be seen in Jigra opposite Vedang Raina of The Archies fame. The film is set to release on October 10 and will clash with Rajinikanth's Vettaiyan and Suriya's Kanguva. She is also set to feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Love & War opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Prep for the film has begun, with Ranbir holding regular meetings with Bhansali at his Mumbai office.

Sharvari, the other leading lady in Alpha, has recently tasted success with Munjya, which has entered the ₹100 crore club. She was also seen in a guest appearance in Maharaja, starring Junaid Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. It is streaming on OTT.
