Angrezi Medium: Irrfan makes a comeback with Hindi Medium's sequel

The fans of Irrfan Khan seemed very happy when the director Homi Adajania announced the wrap of their upcoming project Angrezi Medium. The film is a sequel to the successful film, Hindi Medium. Irrfan will be seen on the big screen after a huge gap because he was away for his neuroendocrine tumour treatment in London. The film is going to be released on March 20, 2019. The cast of the film includes Irrfan Khan, Radhika Madan, and Kareena Kapoor in prominent roles.

In the film, Deepak Dobriyal is going to play Khan's brother and Manu Rishi is going to play their cousin. They are all running mithai shops and are rivals in business. Pankaj Tripathi joined the cast of the film as a travel agent, Tony. An actor from Jaipur, Poorvi Jain, will play Irrfan's wife Rashi. As the first film was based about getting admissions for a child in a ‘good’ school, the second one might focus on how difficult it is for students to get admissions in renowned colleges. The film is directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films.

Irrfan shares Angrezi Medium's first look

Irrfan could not stop himself from sharing the first look of his upcoming film. He will be back on the big screen after a year’s gap due to his treatments. In the poster, Irrfan is seen standing outside his own sweet shop. Radhika, the co-star, also shared a picture from the film’s shoot which showed a clapboard on the film’s sets in Udaipur. She added that she was very excited and grateful for this new journey.
