Animal actor Suresh Oberoi recalls texting Neetu Kapoor and praising ‘well-behaved’ Ranbir Kapoor

Veteran actor Suresh Oberoi has revealed that he messaged Neetu Kapoor and lauded her well-behaved son Ranbir Kapoor after working with him in the movie Animal

Soon after Animal arrived in theatres earlier this month, Ranbir Kapoor has been earning a lot of praise for his seamless performance. Singing the same lullaby, veteran actor Suresh Oberoi has also shared how ‘well-behaved’ Ranbir was on sets. For the unversed, Suresh played Ranbir’s on-screen grandfather in Animal.

Suresh revealed messaging Neetu Kapoor after working with Ranbir Kapoor

Speaking to the YouTube channel Lehren Retro, Suresh shared, “Ranbir is a wonderful guy and a wonderful actor and so very well-behaved. He has been given good values by Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. I sent a message to Neetu saying, ‘Apne bahut aache sanskar diye hai apne bete ko (You have given good values to your son).’ He knows exactly how to behave, like a dignified person.”

Did you know that Ranbir welcomed his daughter during the shoot of Animal?

Talking about how well he managed everything, Animal actor KP Singh told YouTuber Vanshaj Saxena, “He had just dropped off Raha from the hospital at his house and came to the set straight away. That was the first day when Raha went home. I think at 11 am she got discharged and at 3 pm, he was on the set.”

KP who was himself a father to a one-year-old daughter added, “He would ask me about my daughter because he just had his daughter,” he recalled and added, “One day he just asked me ‘KP, when did your daughter start saying Papa?’ and I was like, ‘Ranbir Kapoor is asking me?’

Animal earns over ₹500 crore domestically, ₹800 crore globally at box office

Other than Ranbir, Animal also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie opened to massive earnings and equal criticism around its subject. Animal clashed against Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur at the box office.
