Animal box office collection: Ranbir Kapoor starrer set to surpass Sunny Deol's Gadar 2

The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has now set its eyes on the India box office collection of Gadar 2, fronted by Sunny Deol.

Animal has been running riot at the box office after releasing on December 1. In 18 days at the box office, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer film has grossed ₹835 crore and counting globally as it inches its way towards ₹1000 crore. Before Salaar and Aquaman hit the big screens on December 22, Animal will look to make the most of its box office run.

Meanwhile, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has now set its eyes on the India box office collection of Gadar 2, fronted by Sunny Deol.

Animal inching towards another box office milestone

Animal has earned ₹519 crore at the Indian box office in all languages in a little over two weeks run at the box office. It is already the fourth-highest grossing Hindi film this year, only behind Jawan (₹640 crore), Pathaan (₹543.09 crore) and Gadar 2 (₹525 crore). In the coming days, the movie will surpass the domestic nett collection of Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 to become the third-highest grossing Hindi film of 2023.

About Animal movie

Fronted by Ranbir Kapoor and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film released on December 1 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The pan-India movie also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Suresh Oberoi and Prem Chopra.

Animal showcases a violent world set against the backdrop of a troubled relationship between Ranbir’s Ranvijay Singh and his father Balbir Singh played by Anil Kapoor. While it is running successfully in theatres, a section of critics and viewers have slammed “Animal”, calling it misogynistic and graphically violent.
