Animal Ruined Her...:Triptii Dimri Trolled For Steamy Scenes In Bad Newz Song Jaanam

Triptii Dimri is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Bad Newz. The film also features Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk in the lead roles and will hit the big screens on July 19. Ahead of the release, the makers unveiled a romantic track featuring the Animal star with Vicky Kaushal. The song features the actors in several steamy scenes which has drawn flak from social media users. 

Triptii Dimri faces flak for steamy scenes in Bad Newz song

On July 9, ahead of the film’s release, the makers of Bad Newz released the song Jaanam. The song features several steamy scenes between the lead actors Triptii and Vicky. The movie comes immediately after the actress’s previous film Animal in which her character Zoya, also referred to as Bhabhi 2, is sent out to honey trap the protagonist- Ranbir Kapoor. 

Drawing similarities between her past and current performance, several netizens shared that Triptii is leaning in on the ‘bold’ image on camera. Some even argued that they preferred the actress in her roles like Bullbul and Qala. A tweet about the same read, “It's just my take, but #TriptiDimri has veered into soft porn territory.🫤The movie "Animal" really tarnished her image for me.” Another post mentioned, “She deserves so much better. She should really think before committing to such movies. Disappointed in Triptii for choosing these roles.” Another comment read, “I feel sad for Tripti she's such a talented actress, failing as an audience made her come to this now.”

Fans of the actor have defended her as well. A comment read, “Nobody cares about ur opinion lady ..leave it to Indian women to slut shame another woman.” A user wrote, “I seriously don't get the hypocrisy of us as a society. We failed to see her talents in movies like Laila Majnu, Bulbul and Qala. It was us who declared her national crush after Animal and then we as a society have the audacity to talk bad about it.” Another wrote, “Triptii Dimri's acting prowess shines through in 'Bad Newz’.”

Vicky Kaushal-Triptii Dimri-Amy Virk come together for a comedy-of-error

On June 28, ahead of the film’s release, the makers of Bad Newz dropped the trailer of the movie. The trailer begins with Triptii Dimri visiting a clinic because she is unsure about who the father of her unborn baby is. The clip then introduces both the actors - Vicky Kaushal and Amy Virk, who seem like the potential fathers. This is followed by the Animal star breaking the news of her pregnancy to both the actors and demanding them to undergo a paternity test.

In a turn of fate, the paternity test shows that due to some one-off incident, both Vicky and Amy’s character is the father of Triptii’s child. This begins the “baap of all wars”, wherein the actress decides which out of the two candidates would make a better father. Sharing the trailer online, the makers wrote, “Tripling up the entertainment quotient with some #BadNewz – a total package of everything you never saw coming!😂🤝🏻A rare comedy film inspired by true events.” In a hilarious scene, Vicky Kaushal can be seen engaging in a banter with Amy Virk where the former forbids him from tearing the poster of his real-life wife Katrina Kaif.
