Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi and his wife, former VJ Maria Goretti, have recently restored a 150-year-old Portuguese home in Goa . He shared photos of the stunning transformation of their house named Casa Zen, on his Instagram handle. Arshad Warsi described the renovation as a labour of love while showcasing the remaking of historic elements with their personal touch.

The Golmaal Again actor shared several photos of his Goa home on social media. The first image featured their carpenter with the caption: "My carpenter Hari, who brought to life every crazy design I imagined." Other posts showed a potter, the house being cleaned and polished, and pots of various sizes and colours crafted by the potter.

Another picture highlighted the extensive labour involved in the restoration, with a caption reading: "A lot of time and effort," reflecting the challenging yet rewarding process. The actor also created an Instagram page for the house, where they shared glimpses of it. The Instagram bio of Casa Zen describes it as a "150-year-old Portuguese home lovingly restored by Arshad Warsi and Maria Goretti. Walking in, it feels like a warm hug."

Casa Zen has traditional Portuguese designs

The house, called Casa Zen, is being renovated to preserve its traditional architecture while adding modern touches. The renovation is still ongoing, but the results are already impressive. 

The house entrance features vintage vibes that are carefully preserved through beautifully restored wooden accents, including ornate doors, windows and ceiling beams. The house also features beautiful handmade stained glass windows, a serene fountain and colourful blue and white walls with traditional Portuguese designs.

The interior design seamlessly integrates traditional elements with contemporary comforts, creating a unique living space that honours the past while embracing the present. 

Terracotta tiles, ornate furnishings, goan color palette and exquisite wooden carvings with hands, all contribute to the home's timeless allure. The renovation has breathed new life into this Portugal heritage home, making it an exquisite blend of old-world charm and modern luxury.
