'Badhaai Ho' Day 2 Box Office Collection : Film Gets Stronger As It Mints Rs 11.67 Crore

The Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer 'Badhaai Ho' had a great opening day at the box-office. The film that released on the occasion of Dussehra, clashed with Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer 'Namastey England'. However, the film proved successful, leaving 'Namastey England' far behind at the box-office. Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to annouce teh day 2 collection of the film. He wrote,

Apart from Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra, the film also has a powerful cast in the form of Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, who play parents to Ayushmann in the film. The movie has created much hype since the announcement of its making. It garnered a lot of attention after the trailer had released. The makers describe the movie as a coming-of-age family entertainer that celebrates love, family and everything in between. The film was initially supposed to release on October 19th but had to be preponed, to take advantage of a public holiday. And it sure did wonders for the film, as the movie managed to register a whopping sum of Rs 7.29 crore.

The comedy-drama is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and is jointly produced by Vineet Jain, Hemant Bhandari and Aleya Sen under the banner of Junglee Pictures and Chrome Pictures. Through the trailer, one understands that the concept is different and is not something that has been touched upon before. In India ‘Log Kya Kahenge’ is a major crisis and this movie seems to be focussing on that.
