The past few days have been turbulent for Saif Ali Khan and his family. The actor was brutally stabbed at his own home by a 30-year-old intruder in a robbery bid. He was taken to the hospital immediately and after a 5-day treatment, the actor returned home. Fans of the actor were stationed outside his residence to catch a glimpse of him, following his discharge.  The actor was dressed in a white shirt and a pair of denims, and was seen shaking hands with friends and neighbours, as he walked towards his den. The dressing on his neck was also visible through his collar.

In the first visuals from after his discharge, Saif Ali Khan could be seen smiling at the paparazzi and greeting his fans. The actor assured everyone of his safety and waved at the audience that had gathered outside his residence. Fans of the actor appreciated his bravery and complimented him for putting on a strong front even in the face of tragedy.

Saif Ali Khan underwent 2 critical procedures at Lilavati Hospital

The Bollywood star, who suffered multiple stab injuries in the attack by an intruder at his 12th-floor home in the early hours of January 16, underwent emergency surgery at the hospital soon after he was admitted. Doctors had earlier said Khan had three injuries, two on the hand and one on the right side of the neck, and the major part was at the back, which was in the spine. They removed the sharp object that was lodged in the spine and repaired the injury. He underwent two critical procedures during his hospital stay -- neurosurgery and plastic surgery.

Khan recovered well and was shifted from the intensive care unit (ICU) on January 17 to a special room. Police on Sunday arrested Bangladeshi national Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir (30) from neighbouring Thane city for the attack on the actor.
