Bhaiyya Ji Box Office Collection Day 4: Manoj Bajpayee's Film Fails Monday Test

Following the success of Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, filmmaker Apoorv Singh and actor Manoj Bajpayee have collaborated again for Bajpayee’s 100th film, Bhaiyya Ji, which debuted in theaters on Friday. Initially, the film had a modest opening but saw an increase in its box office collection. According to Sacnilk, it earned Rs 0.90 crore on its fourth day, bringing its total domestic earnings to Rs 5.85 crore.

Bhaiyya Ji fails Monday test at the box office

On Monday, Bhaiyya Ji had an overall occupancy rate of 8.79 percent for its Hindi screenings, with the highest occupancy during night shows. Jaipur had the most screenings, with over 20 percent occupancy rate, while Mumbai recorded an 8 percent occupancy rate.

Despite high anticipation among Manoj Bajpayee’s fans, Bhaiyya Ji had a moderate start on Monday, earning Rs 0.90 crore. The film capitalised on the weekend, with a 29.63 percent increase on Saturday, bringing in Rs 1.75 crore, and further increased to Rs 1.90 crore on Sunday. However, its performance on Monday was not a success.

Bajpayee’s previous theatrical release, Joram in 2023, received critical acclaim and won the Best Film trophy at the Filmfare Awards but had a lifetime collection of only Rs 0.45 crore in India. In contrast, Rajkummar Rao’s Srikanth, which was also released this month, earned Rs 37.85 crore till now.

What is the plot of Bhaiyaa Ji?

According to the makers, Bhaiyaa Ji will explore emotions like standing for your family and vengeance for suffering that happened to one's family. The script is penned by Deepak Kingrani and will bring back the “dialogue baazi of ’70s and ’80s Hindi Cinema," as per a statement by the filmmakers. Apart from Manoj Bajpayee, the film features Zoya Hussain, Suvinder Vicky, Jatin Goswami, Vipin Sharma, and Rama Sharma in pivotal roles.
