Mr India 2: Boney Kapoor Hints At Sequel Again, Says 'Can Still Do It Again'
Mr India 2: There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the sequel to Mr India after Boney Kapoor hinted at it in a cryptic social media post.
Mr India 2: Anil Kapoor and Sridevi starter Mr India is a cult classic, which fans love to watch even today. Now, in the latest development, producer Boney Kapoor has hinted at the sequel of the film on social media, eliciting a response from his daughter Janhvi Kapoor.
Boney Kapoor to make Mr India 2?
Boney Kapoor shared a poster of the film, which read, “Creating new waves in entertainment world”. The producer wrote in the caption, “Can still do it again”. In response to this, Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor took to the comment section, and wrote, “You have always done it, you still do it and you will continue to.”
One of the first sci-fi movies in Hindi cinema, the film was about a man who discovers the formula to become invisible and uses his powers to fight evil forces. As per reports, the filmmaker-producer said he is in talks with a Hollywood studio for Mr India 2.
Did Boney Kapoor confirm Mr India?
A few months back, Boney Kapoor had confirmed the second part. He reportedly said, “That also will happen, maybe as soon as No Entry 2 is out. I have been approached by a big Hollywood studio to do Mr India. So, it’s Zee, me and the studio,” he claimed. In 2020, Zee Studios announced they have signed director Ali Abbas Zafar to helm a Mr India trilogy, a re-imagining of the popular film.
Fans react to Boney Kapoor’s post
Reacting quickly to the post, fans demanded Mr India sequel. One user wrote, “make it again and take Janhvi as heroine.” Another user wrote, “make it again and take Janhvi as heroine”. “Please remake mr india with janhvI”, wrote the third user.
