Chhaava: Vicky Kaushal has delivered Bollywood's first hit at the box office in 2025. The film has scripted history at the box office by becoming the highest-grossing Hindi historical film. In the movie, Vicky essays the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Akshaye Khanna plays Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. As it is performing well at the ticket window, here's how much the movie was made in and its full cast budget.
Chhaava cast fees and budget
Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was the son of Maratha empire founder Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. His valour in wars and his brave efforts at saving the Deccan empire from the Mughals have been depicted in the movie. Reportedly, Chhaava is made on a budget of ₹130-140 crore. So far, the film has minted over ₹300 crore and is expected to become the first ₹500 crore Hindi grosser of this year. This puts it in a huge profit already, with more coming in.
According to reports, Vicky has been paid ₹10 crore for his lead role. Rashmika, who has essayed the role of Yesubai in the movie, has reportedly been paid ₹4 crore for her role.

Aksahye Khanna as Aurangzeb has been said to take home ₹2.5 crore from the movie.

Other cast members' fees revealed
Other supporting cast members, including Ashutosh Rana and Divya Dutta, had varying paychecks. Ashutosh was paid ₹80 lakh for his role as Sarlashkar Hambirrao Mohite and Divya took home ₹40 lakh for essaying Rajmata Soyarabai Bhosale. Chhaava, meanwhile, has been declared tax-free in Goa and Madhya Pradesh.
