Chhaava Opens Better In Telugu Than Kangana Ranaut's Emergency In Hindi, Vicky Kaushal Starrer Is Unstoppable At Box Office

Chhaava Telugu Box Office: The Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer has been registering records at the ticketing counter ever since its release. The film became the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year and is in the running to become one of the highest-grossers of all time. After a successful run in Hindi, the movie debuted in the Telugu language on March 7. See how it fared at the box office on the opening day.

Chhaava debuts in Telugu

Amid a stellar run in Hindi, the Laxman Utekar directorial was released in Telugu on March 7. The film opened to a healthy start and made ₹2.5 Cr in Telugu, as per Sacnilk. The business is expected to grow multifold in the coming weekend.

Despite the release in Telugu, the film maintained a steady pace at the Hindi box office as well. The historical drama minted ₹6.25 crore in Hindi on the 22nd day of theatrical release, which was the fourth Friday of the film's release. Chhaava has amassed a total of ₹492.3 crore at the domestic box office, as per Sacnilk.

Stree 2 Vs Chhaava at the box office

While Chhaava is leaping at the box office, it remains miles away from achieving the mammoth target set by the Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao starrer. On the 22nd day of release, Stree 2 had minted ₹5.35 crore at the domestic box office. The Laxman Utekar-directed historical drama collected ₹6.25 crore on day 22 in the Hindi version alone, which was also the fourth Friday of its release (March 7).

Stree 2 set the record by raking ₹597.99 crore at the domestic box office in 78 days. Chhaava has, till now, collected ₹492.3 crore in India, as per Sacnilk. The film's release in Telugu is expected to boost its business.
