Chhaava: Vicky Kaushal Starrer To Be Screened In Parliament, PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Ministers To Attend

Chhaava headlined by Vicky Kaushal will be screened for all MPs in the Balayogi Auditorium of Parliament on March 27. PM Modi will also join the screening.

A special screening of the Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava will be held in the Parliament. The screening will take place at the Balayogi Auditorium on March 27, Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi , Home Minister Amit Shah and all other Union Ministers will be in attendance at the special show.

Additionally, the entire cast of the show, including Vicky Kaushal, who plays the lead role, and director Laxman Utekar are also likely to be in attendance. Previosuly, Vikrant Massey starrer The Sabarmati Report was screened at the Parliament in December 2024.

Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar, revolves around the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji, and his courage in defending his faith and country. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke highly of the Bollywood movie and acknowledged the nationwide buzz surrounding the film. Addressing the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, PM stated, “It is Maharashtra and Mumbai which has given a new height to Marathi as well as Hindi cinema. These days, Chhaava is making waves throughout the country (In dino to Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai). The introduction of Sambhaji Maharaj’s valour in this form has been made by Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel."

Additionally, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised the makers for sharing the true tale of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj through Chhaava. He said, "Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj knew 11 different languages. He was a poet, and a writer as well. From the Chhaava movie, many people in India have come to know more about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and I thank the 'Chhaava' crew members and the whole team. They perfectly portrayed the history in the film. I thank producers, directors, distributors, actors, and actresses. This team brought Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj into our lives. Thanks to Aditi Tatkare for the wonderful arrangements."

Chhaava hit the big screens on February 14 and has done exceptionally well at the box office. The Laxman Utekar directorial has amassed a total of ₹ 567.75 Cr in the domestic market.
