Diwali: Shibani Dandeker bonds with Farhan & Javed Akhtar-Shabana Azmi

Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar are among the most-talked couples in Bollywood right now. Be it their public appearances, holidays abroad or social media PDA, the pair is always in the news. And on the occasion of Diwali, it wasn’t just about them as Shibani joined Farhan’s family. Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi were seen bonding with the couple as they celebrated the festival together.

In the first-ever snap of Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar with the veteran couple, Javed Akhtar-Shabana Azmi, the family conveyed Diwali wishes. Shabana Azmi shared the snap on Instagram where Javed Akhtar is flanked by the ladies, while Farhan is to the extreme right, as the four of them flashed their wide smiles. The Neerja actor wished her followers happiness, peace and love on Diwali, “#Diwali mubarak sabko.Khushi shanti mohabbat sabko miley.” 

Previously, Shibani was seen at a Holi party hosted by the Akhtar family earlier this year. At that time, she was only seen with Shabana Azmi and not with Javed Akhtar. Shibani’s appearance with Farhan’s family shows that the relationship is very much official now.

The couple also posed in traditional attires, in another appearance as they conveyed greetings to their fans. “आप सभी को दिवाली कि शुभकामनाएँ। Happy Diwali to you and your loved ones. ❤️❤️ @shibanidandekar,” wrote Farhan Akhtar. Shibani Dandekar conveyed her Diwali greetings in Marathi, wishing heartfelt greetings of Diwali and the joy of the New Year, writing, “Tumha saglyanna diwalichya hardik shubheccha ani navin varsha sukhacha javo 💥”

Shibani on The Sky is Pink 

Farhan recently featured in The Sky is Pink, that earned immense critical acclaim on social media. Shibani had reviewed it, writing, “Was lucky enough to witness the magic of this film as it premiered at Toronto Film Festival and was blown away by how beautifully powerful it is in so many ways!” She had added, “@faroutakhtar❤️ and @priyankachopra for their incredible portrayal of Niren and Aditi!
