According to a report in Galatta India, Ananya stated that heartbreak is something one simply has to face. Adding to the conversation, her CTRL director Vikramaditya Motwane said, "You have to face it, either by talking to someone or burning photographs," hinting at Ananya’s past experiences.
Ananya confessed that while she had previously burned photographs of her ex, she no longer does so. She explained, "It’s not like I’m the only person who has done this. A lot of people have. It’s a nice way to release your frustration."

Rumors about Ananya Panday and Aditya Roy Kapur dating began circulating in 2022, after they were seen attending Kriti Sanon’s Diwali party together. The pair was frequently spotted at events and parties, and they even walked the runway at Lakme Fashion Week 2023.
