Shraddha Kapoor recently visited the T-Series office in order to visit the Ganapati idol there in lieu of the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Also present at the office during the same window was her rumoured ex Aditya Roy Kapur. A video of the two greeting each other has been doing the rounds on the internet making for a brief but nostalgic Aashiqui 2 reunion.

• The duo reunited onscreen for the 2017 film Ok Jaanu which failed to parallel the popularity of Aashiqui 2.

Shraddha-Aditya mark an impromptu Aashiqui 2 reunion

Shraddha Kapoor's visit to the T-Series office for Ganapati darshan ended up as a happy surprise, courtesy of her run-in with Aashiqui 2 co-star Aditya Roy Kapur. While Shraddha was dressed in simple yellow ethnic attire, Aditya donned a striped button down and pants. As soon as the two spotted each other, Shraddha walked over to speak with Aditya.

The two shared a hug before indulging in small talk. The moment, which marked an unexpected Aashiqui 2 reunion, was captured by the paparazzi at the T-Series office. Shraddha had essayed the role of Aarohi and Aditya had essayed the role of Rahul in Aashiqui 2.

Aashiqui 3 in the works with Kartik Aaryan in the lead

In September 2022, Aashiqui 3, the third installment in the wildly successful Aashiqui franchise, was announced with Kartik Aaryan in the lead. At the time of the announcement, no leading lady had allegedly been cast for the film. More than a year to the date, there has been no official update regarding the film. Recently, a 'leaked' audio clip was doing the rounds of the internet, being passed off as a song from the Aashqiui 3 musical lineup. Soon after, an official notice was issued by Vishesh Films, warning people against spreading misinformation about the film.
