Zeenat Aman's post about Feroz Khan
On Thursday, January 4, Zeenat shared a post opening up about Feroz Khan's "charisma" and working experience with the late actor. The duo have worked together in the 1980 film Qurbani. It was directed by Feroz Khan, who also acted in the film. It also starred Vinod Khanna, Amjad Khan and others.
Recalling how he approached her for a film which she refused and months later he approached her again and pitched for Qurbani by saying it's a lead role. She wrote, "It was the 70s, my star was on the rise, and he called me on the telephone to offer me a role in his upcoming production. It was a secondary part, and so I politely refused the offer. Feroz was incensed and let out a stream of expletives while I held the receiver away from my ear! Many months later, he called again. This time he started his pitch by saying - “it’s the lead role so don’t reject it”. And that’s how I joined the cast of Qurbani."
She concluded the note by mentioning that Feroz Khan was "suave, charming and polished". Calling him a talented actor and director, Zeenat Aman added that Qurbani remains one of her favourite projects even today. Feroz Khan died of lung cancer in April 2009.
