Gadar 2 box office: Sunny's film earns ₹520 crore in 38 days, check week-wise collection

Gadar 2 released on August 11 alongside Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2. While both films were long-awaited sequels to critical and commercial hits, the Sunny Deol starrer had the upper hand since the start. It quickly zoomed past the ₹500 crore mark at India box office and also became the fastest film to do so, beating Pathaan and Baahubali 2.

Gadar 2 box office collection breakdown

Gadar 2 started off with a stellar week 1 collection. After registering an opening of ₹40.1 crore on Friday and eventually peaking on Day 5 with ₹55.4 crore, the first week collection of Gadar 2 turned out to be Rs 284.63 crore. In its second week, the film minted Rs 134.47 crore, witnessing a 52.76 percent drop in its collection.

This drop remained consistent throughout its box office run in India over the weeks. The film minted ₹63.35 crore in its third week, followed by ₹27.55 crore and ₹7.28 crore in weeks 4 and 5 respectively. The Sunny Deol actioner collected ₹2.72 crore in its sixth weekend. Its total box office collection stands at ₹520 crore in 38 days.

Ticket prices for Gadar 2 decrease

Meanwhile, the makers of Gadar 2 have reduced the film's ticket prices to ₹150. The slashed rates came at a time when Gadar 2 is in the last leg of its theatrical run. The revised ticket prices came into application on September 15.
