Actor Govind Namdev played a prominent role in the 2012 film titled OMG - Oh My God and was also seen in the sequel to the movie helmed by Amit Rai. However, this time, the actor did not receive much screen time and revealed that much of his role in OMG 2 was cut out in the editing room. He also disclosed that his character was "ruined" as the makers were fearful about "offending" the audience.

Govind Namdev on his limited screen time
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Govind Namdev disclosed that a lot of his role was edited out, which resulted in his reduced role in OMG 2. "A lot of my role was edited. The fear was that nothing wrong should happen with anything that is shown (in the movie). They were concerned that film shouldn’t show anything that hurts anybody’s sentiments, so a lot of my dialogues, scenes and reactions were removed," the Wanted actor said.

The actor had earlier slammed CBFC for giving an A certificate to the film and questioned how a 'behuda' film like Adipurush was passed with U/A certificate. He also asked the CBFC to reconsider its decision and change the certification to U/A since OMG 2 was made on teen issues and they were the target audience.
Govind Namdev has no regrets about his OMG 2 role
However, Govind said he has no regrets that his role was cut out. He said that as long as his character leaves an impact on the audience, he is unaffected by the length of his role in the movie.

"But since people liked the film, I have no regrets about my dialogues and scenes being cut. But whatever I got is enough for me. For me, even one scene is enough. If what we are doing is creating an impact, then that is enough," he said. Earlier, the actor also expressed his disappointment after CBFC suggested more than 20 cuts in OMG 2 before awarding it an A certificate.
