Hollywood movies releasing this week: Doctor Sleep, Midway, and more

Hollywood movies have become increasingly popular in India, especially the superhero franchises which are gaining cult status. Recent releases Joker and Terminator: Dark Fate are performing well at the box office. With the new week, new movies are also coming to the theatres.

Last Christmas

The movie stars Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding, Michelle Yeoh, and Emma Thompson among others. The story revolves around Kate, a young woman who somehow ends up making bad decisions. She starts working as Santa’s elf for a department store, during Christmas. However, she meets a guy there, Tom. Her life takes a turn after that and what happens is to watch. Directed by Paul Feig, it is a romantic-comedy-drama film. It is slated to release on November 8, 2019.

Doctor Sleep

The film is a sequel of one of the most-anticipated horror-drama film The Shinning. It stars Ewan McGregor, Rebecca Ferguson, Jacob Tremblay with others. Years following the events of The Shining, a now-adult Dan Torrance meets a young girl. She has similar powers to him. Dan tries to protect her from a cult named as The True Knot who prey on children with powers to remain immortal. It is based on a novel by Stephan King. The movie is set to release on November 8, 2019.

Midway

The movie stars Nick Jonas, Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Woody Harrelson, and Mandy Moore among others. Directed by Roland Emmerich, the story is said to be based on real events of the Battle of Midway, told by the sailors and the leaders who fought it. The release date is November 8, 2019.

Black and Blue

The story revolves around a rookie New Orleans police officer witnesses two corrupt cops committing murder. She is then forced to balance her identity. The movie stars Naomie Harris, Frank Grillo, Mike Colter, Reid Scott, Tyrese Gibson and others. The film is slated to release on November 8, 2019.
