Koffee With Karan 6 | Was It Tough To Bond With Alia Bhatt Due To Ranbir Kapoor Factor? Katrina Kaif Answers

Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone were asked about the ‘elephant in the room’ Ranbir Kapoor when they made a joint appearance on ‘Koffee with Karan’, referring to their current and previous relationships respectively with the ‘Sanju’ star. Though Alia was not around, a similar question was posed to Katrina when she featured on the show with Varun Dhawan on Sunday, 11 November.

Katrina and Alia bond big time, working out in the same gym and hanging out at parties. When Karan asked Katrina about being ‘large’ about it and if bonding with Alia was tough, she said, "No, it wasn’t tough, it isn’t tough. Everyone has to judge what’s best for themselves, and how they want to handle their equations and relationships in their life. My equation with Alia is independent, my equation with Ranbir is independent, my equation with Deepika is independent. It’s all individual equations I have. We are not everyday phone conversation buddies. I like who she is. There is an enjoyment factor, enjoyment in each other’s company, sort of comfort and fun element when we are together. It’s just a decision I made that I respect and I value that relationship. And it shouldn't change for anything.”

Katrina also spoke about Alia when she was asked to name the things she loves, hates and tolerates about her. On the first part of the question, the ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’star said, “I think she is a free spirit, I think she’s slightly evolved also.” She then added, “She (Alia) doesn’t seem to put a whole lot of work behind being very good, which I hate.” On a thing she tolerates about the ‘Dear Zindagi’star, Katrina said, “She doesn’t seem to put a whole lot of work in the gym but still looks very good. It’s one of those naturally gifted things.”

Katrina, however, is not friends with Ranbir since their break-up. The two came together purely for professional reasons to promote 'Jagga Jasoos' in 2017, and have maintained distance since then.
