Amid the controversy, Kriti has shared a new post on her social media handle, hinting that she is unaffected by it.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Kriti shared a video in which she along with her sister is enjoying the "Golden hour". The Sanon sisters can be seen twinning in black ensembles with dramatic makeup around their eyes and chest. The text on the post reads, "Golden Hour (sun emoticon) Vibing with my boho baby!" followed by a heart emoticon.

This has come after her alleged smoking video went viral with netizens calling her a "hypocrite". In the video, she along with her rumoured boyfriend Kabir Bahia can be seen chatting and enjoying the environment with a cigarette between her fingers. While she was being slammed for her action, there was a section of the internet that came out in her support slamming the user for invading her privacy.

Why did netizens slam Kriti Sanon for smoking?

It happened so because, in an old interview, Kriti had called herself "anti-smoking". The actress said, "I was always a non-smoker and I continue to be one. I only picked up the cigarette because my character demanded me to do that," the actress told Mid-day. She added, "I never wanted to smoke. I did not like it even after doing it. But I didn’t want it to look fake, so I had to do it the right way.
