From starting out at a corporate job to switching to the entertainment industry with anchoring and subsequently to acting, Kubbra Sait has come a long way in showbiz. She is now famous for her role of Cuckoo in Netflix's 'Sacred Games', where she played Nawazuddin Siddiqui's love interest. When Republic TV got in touch with her on the sidelines of 'Spoken' fest and asked how her journey has been from the start to becoming a household name, the actress had the most inspiring tale.

Talking about her transition from being on stage to being on the big screen, she said, "The transition has been very organic for me you know. For me moving to Bombay itself was like my first step towards change because I used to have a corporate job. Then I started off anchoring, you know in smaller stages, then a little bigger stages. I used to be an actor back in school. Especially that feeling when you move to Bombay- Bombay jaingai, actor banenge. I think that was the prevalent thought in some corner of my head. But, also sustenance and living in this city and doing something right and sticking to your gut plays a huge role in actually following your dreams."

Continuing her take on her journey as an artist, she added, "So I started off really small, it started off with the proverbial 'small roles', so I a played role in 'Ready', as an anchor, as a commentator in 'Sultan', but all moves and all of those judgment calls made me realise that good, one more day in front of the camera and one day the avalanche hits. And there you are celebrating this character Cuckoo which has given me so much, which has given me so much love, adoration, belongingness. So this change has been I guess, worked upon one day at a time, one step at a time."

The actress will be next seen in Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Gully Boy' and now it looks like her career is really taking off with the success of 'Sacred Games'.
