Madhuri Dixit debuted in Abodh, 1984, playing the character Gauri. However, she gained momentum in the year 1988 for her brilliant performance in Ek Do Teen dance song from the film Tezaab. Since then, Madhuri’s dance looks and performances remain etched within the audience's mind. We explore some of her best dance looks.

IIFA 2019

Madhuri Dixit in a custom Swapnil Shinde blue lehenga and sheer embroidered top is just the look that sets inspiration for many. She performed on the song EK Do Teen and several other remixes at this award show. Her look was a treat to the eyes. Saroj Khan, who is one of Madhuri Dixit’s mentor, was seen embracing her on stage.

Dance Deewane

Madhuri Dixit was once again seen wearing a custom Swapnil Shinde sheer black top and lehenga. She wore Purab Paschim matha pathi and neckpiece to complete her look. Madhuri looked ethereal in this look for the finale of the reality show Dance Deewane, where Madhuri has been a judge for the past few seasons. She performed several remixes of her songs.

Tabah Ho Gaye

Madhuri Dixit wowed many of her fans when she adorned a traditional red Anarkali with contrast pants for the song Tabah Ho Gaye in the film Kalank. Madhuri looked astonishing with the bare neck and maangteeka and chandbaali earrings. The heavy embroidered Anarkali went with the set and the theme of the song.

Maar Dala

Madhuri Dixit as Chandramukhi in Devdas wore a traditional green Anarkali with heavy jewellery for the song Maar Dala. She carried the look gracefully with palms donned with henna and danced to the qawali music in the song. Madhuri’s look was completed with her beautiful expressions.

Dola re Dola

The 2002 film Devdas saw some brilliant dance numbers. However, Madhuri and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s dance from Dola re Dola is worth remembering. Their red and white traditional saree clad avatar is still recreated by many fans. The look was complemented with the heavy bedazzlement including bangles, earrings and maangteekas.
