During one of the promotional events, director Aditya Sarpotdar revealed that around 50 per cent of the budget of Munjya was allotted to the visual effects in the upcoming horror comedy. "The 50 per cent cost of the film was spent on the VFX. And that's a big number. That's the conviction or the importance of the VFX ... We created a creature from CGI and VFX space which came from a lot of research and development and back and forth in trying to get it right," Sarpotdar told PTI in an interview.

The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik.
