Munjya BO Collection Week 1: Sharvari Starrer Performs 'Exceptionally Well', Mints ₹36.50 Crore

As per trends, Munjya will continue to maintain its pace in the second week and might hit a half-century (₹50 crore) mark by the second weekend.

Munjya, starring Sharvari Wagha and Abhay Verma, has declared itself a super hit at the box office in the opening week. The movie opened at ₹4.21 at the domestic box office and witnessed a spike over the weekend by crossing ₹10 crore club. Now, at the end of the first week, the movie has crossed ₹30 crore mark. However, now the movie will face a new opponent as Kartik Aaryan’s highly anticipated movie Chandu Champion has made its debut on the big screens.

Helmed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the movie maintained its pace on the seventh day of the release and minted ₹4.03 crore. Adding the first-week collection, then the total stands at ₹36.50 crore. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie is a “box office winner”. He added, “Metros, non-metros, mass pockets / heartland - this horror-comedy has fared EXCEPTIONALLY WELL across the board in Week 1.”

Munjya had an overall 16.40% Hindi Occupancy on Thursday with the maximum reported in the Jaipur region (22 per cent).

As per trends, the movie will continue to maintain its pace in the second week and might hit a half-century, that is, ₹50 crore mark by the second weekend.

Sharvari Wagh expresses gratitude for Munjya's success

Sharvari Wagh is elated after tasting success with her recently released film Munjya. "I have been waiting to receive this kind of appreciation for so long... I am truly at a loss for words. The audience is showering immense love on our film. My mother, who has supported me through thick and thin, told me she is proud of me after watching this film. That meant so much. There is nothing better than receiving blessings from people. I remember surprising fans by visiting a theatre screening of 'Munjya,' and one woman came up to me and blessed me. I am extremely grateful for all the love," Sharvari told ANI.
