Nawazuddin Siddiqui reveals reasons why films fail at the box office

Nawazuddin Siddiqui recently marked his presence at the International Film Festival of India. During his time, the actor interacted with young filmmaking students and encouraged them to take risks. Speaking on the sidelines, the actor also mentioned box office successes and failures.  

Nawazuddin Siddiqui opens up about his movies not doing well commercially 

In recent times, movies starring Naazuddin Siddiqui like Haddi, Afwaah, Heropanti 2 and Tiku Weds Sheru have failed to achieve critical as well as commercial success. The actor addressed the same during a conversation with ANI while he attended the film festival. The actor said, “There are so many reasons that the film doesn't work at the box office. Sometimes there are technical reasons as well. Many a time films do not get enough screens.” 

The actor then mentioned that all he can do is act well and nothing else. He added, “My work is to do acting and I always try to do my best. I always try to work with utmost honesty. Film chalana na chalana mere hath mein nahin hai (It's not in my hands to make a move successful...) To do good acting is the only thing which is in my hands.”  

Nawazuddin Siddiqui advises young filmmakers to take risks 

While at the International Film Festival of India in Goa, Nawazuddin Siddiqui took time out to speak to young filmmakers. While speaking ot the young talents, the Tiku Weds Sheru actor asserted that they have the freedom to take risks and so they must exercise their power to do so. 

He told the students, “The young talents have the freedom to take risks. I like working with people where the story and way of working is different... The young talent should always be welcomed because they come with a different thought.”
