Neena Gupta accuses Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan, claims they said they'd help her discourage daughter Masaba from acting but didn't

Just like any other Bollywood star kid, Masaba Gupta who is the daughter of veteran actor Neena Gupta also wanted to pursue acting. However, her mother discouraged her from the beginning as revealed in an exclusive interview. 

And to make sure that she does not get carried away, Gupta reveals that she also asked Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan she had met on a flight to convince her. However, after reciting the incident in the interview, the 'Badhaai Ho' actress called them 'cheap and mean' for assuring that they would help by giving her their numbers but then never attended her calls.

Prior to this, she also alleged that her good friends too never gave her work. She said, “Mere apne logo ne mujhe kisi ne kaam nai dia. I am so close to Soni, Mahesh Bhatt... Mahesh ne kabhi mujhe kaam nahi dia, kabhi bhi nahi dia. Kisi ne bhi nahi diya, I wonder why..” she rued adding, “I am too shy to ask, maybe that's why.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress was last seen in 'Badhaai Ho'. 

The comedy-drama is directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and is jointly produced by Vineet Jain, Hemant Bhandari and Aleya Sen under the banner of Junglee Pictures and Chrome Pictures. Through the trailer, one understands that the concept is different and is not something that has been touched upon before. In India ‘Log Kya Kahenge’ is a major crisis and this movie seems to be focussing on that.
