Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu starrer Citadel: Honey Bunny is finally streaming on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video from November 7. Ever since the show has released, it has created buzz among the netizens for its acting skills and intense action sequences. Amid this, Varun Dhawan in a recent interaction has opened up about his daughter.

Varun Dhawan: For some reason you feel a protection towards your daughter

In an interaction with The Hollywood Reporter, Varun Dhawan spoke about his latest show Citadel: Honey Bunny. He candidly expressed how becoming a father has changed his perspective towards life.

He said, “I think when any individual, any man becomes a parent, for the mother it is a different experience, I feel she becomes a tigress, that moment only something happens. But, as a man, I’d say, that when we become parents, for some reason, you feel a protection towards your daughter. I am sure you feel for sons also but towards the daughter… If anyone causes even so much (little) harm to her I’d kill them. I am dead serious when I say that. Literally, I’d kill them.”

Varun Dhawan moreover spoke how his father David Dhawan used to be protective for him and he understand now. In the same interview he said, “I started understanding my father a little better, his insecurities, his hyper behaviour, his anxiety about ‘being home at a time’. He’s calling my mom… He just wanted everyone to be together as a tribe, as a pack. I would never get it, I’d be like, ‘What is his issue?’ I am not a child, why does he want to keep me near him. But, now that I have had a baby, so I get it”. For the unversed, Varun Dhawan and his wife Natasha Dalal welcomed their daughter Lara on June 3, 2024.

Varun Dhawan who is currently basking in the success of Citadel: Honey Bunny will next be seen in Baby John. Directed by Kalees, the film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff and Sheeba Chadha among others.

The film is a remake of Theri, which released in 2016 and featured Thalapathyy Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles. The Varun Dhawan starrer is scheduled to hit the big screens on December 25 this year.
