Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, Pashmina Roshan and Naila Grrewal are gearing up for the release of their upcoming movie Ishq Vishk Rebound. The movie serves as the sequel to Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao's Ishq Vishk. As the release date is nearing, the makers have unveiled the teaser and several songs to keep the audience hooked. Speaking of which, producer Ramesh Taurani, in a recent interview, explained how the upcoming rom-com-drama is different from the original Ishq Vishk.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Taurani said that they had always thought that whenever they took Ishq Vishk as a movie franchise ahead, the idea would be to work with young and fresh talent including the actors and director. Speaking about the cast of the movie, he said, “Rohit Saraf is a young heartthrob, we are launching Pashmina Roshan and Jibraan Khan and also presenting Naila Grrewal. This is also Nipun Avinash Dharmadhakari’s first Hindi directorial.”

Taurani added that the movie is a modern take on love, friendship, relationships and its complications today.

Opening up about retention of the original songs in the upcoming rom-com drama, the producer said songs like Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar and Chot Dil Pe Lagi were quite popular and that's why they decided to retain it. However, he added that the team worked hard to "maintain balance" so they could also connect with the young audience.

Ishq Vishk Rebound follows the lives of four young people who become enmeshed in a web of friendship, love, and self-discovery. The movie is slated to hit the theatres on June 21.
