Ranbir Kapoor-Bobby Deol's fight scene in Animal copied from an old Hindi film? Fans think so
Animal marks the second Bollywood outing of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol in the lead role and released on Dec 1.

Animal hit the big screens on December 1. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer scripted history at the box office by becoming the fastest film to mint ₹500 crore in India. Amid the massive commercial success, one particular scene from the film has caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans.
Fans draw similarities between Animal and Bobby Deol's film Ashiq
In the climax of Animal, Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol can be seen engaging in a vicious fight. The scene was included in the trailer as well where the actors wrestled with each other while covered in blood. Eagle-eyed fans noticed the similarity between the scene with Bobby Deol’s old film Aashiq.
A video that was first posted on Reddit has surfaced and features a scene from Bobby Deol's 2001 film Aashiq, which also stars Karisma Kapoor. Netizens immediately made comparisons between the image and a scene in Animal where Bobby and Ranbir Kapoor fight in shirtless on a runway. In the Aashiq scene, Bobby is shown wearing blue jeans and a white shirt, while Rahul Dev is shirtless and covered in blood. The caption, which adds a lighthearted touch, implies, "I think I downloaded the wrong Animal movie."
Animal becomes the second highest-grossing movie of 2023
Animal hit the big screens alongside Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur but continued to dominate the ticketing counter. Released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. As per Sacnilk, at the conclusion of 2023, the Ranbir Kapoor-Rashmika Madanna starrer had amassed a total of ₹544.93 crore at the domestic box office, in all languages combined.

The Sandeep Reddy Vanga raced past Pathaan which minted a total of ₹543 crore in India. Even in the new year, Animal minted ₹1.45 crore on Monday followed by ₹0.64 crore on Tuesday. The film’s total stands at a staggering ₹547.02 crore at the domestic box office, as per Sacnilk.
