Ravi Dubey has been in the news after a report claimed that the actor has been roped in Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi starrer Ramayana. Casting the role of Lakshman was challenging, reveals Mukesh Chhabra

Mukesh recently appeared at a podcast where he spilt the beans elaborating on the casting process for the titular role of Lakshman. He shared that it was not an easy journey for them as before him they approached several actors, but they turned it down. Expressing his satisfaction with the choice, Chhabra added that they auditioned many actors but he is pleased with the actor they have selected, and it will mark his Bollywood debut.

He further mentioned that this was the last role they cast for the movie and after auditioning several they zeroed upon a young actor with extensive TV experience. Calling him a "perfect" fit for Lakshman's role, Chhabra expressed that others turned down the role as they believed that Ram and Lakshman would always need to be together.

Chhabra has not taken Ravi Dubey's name but the actor he is talking about seems similar to Dubey as the actor has been in the TV world for around 18 years. Also, if he stars in Ramayan, then it will mark his Bollywood debut.
