Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi starrer Ramayan shoot to commence in March 2024? Here's what we know

Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash are reported to play pivotal roles in the upcoming film Ramayan helmed by Nitesh Tiwari. While there has been no confirmation about the film’s shoot or cast, sources close to the production have been sharing details about the shoot time and again. A source close to the development has shared that the shoot for the film will go on floors soon. 

Ramayan will commence shooting on March 2024 

A source close to Ramayan told Pinkvilla that the shoot for the epic will begin soon. The date given by the source is March 2024. Reportedly, the production company of the film DNEG will also manage the film’s VFX. It is also being said that new technology will be introduced in the movie and the entire test shoot of the project has been done. 

The source revealed that test shots of the actors and other graphic elements of the movies have concluded. The source also stated that actor Yash will have an extended cameo in the film. The source told Pinkvilla, “Yash has an extended appearance in Ramayana: Part One, which is more of a story building of Ram and Sita with character introduction of Hanuman. The second part will chronicle the arc of Raavan’s character and the actor is excited to enter into this auspicious world of Nitesh Tiwari. Yash was bowled over by the visuals and the purity with which Nitesh intends to retell Ramayana to the audience today.” However, there is no official announcement about the film as of now. 

Ranbir Kapoor to jet off to LA to begin shoot for the epic?

The same source told the production that the Animal star will be flying off to Las Vegas for the commencement of the Ramayan shoot. The actor will be flying to LA for a couple of weeks in January. The source also added that the schedule would be for pre-visualisation. It is reported that the film will hit the big screen in the second half of 2025. Ramayan will be released in two parts, as per reports.
