Amitabh Bachchan is not only the Shahenshah of Bollywood but also in the world of real estate. And his son Abhishek Bachchan has routed the same path. As it is believed that property investments are the most inclusive form of savings, over the years, the Bachchan family has been dedicated to following the same mantra. Recently, the father-son duo expanded their real estate portfolio by purchasing 10 properties worth ₹24.95 crore in Mumbai’s Mulund West area. This latest investment adds to their extensive property portfolio.
Not many know, but in the last five years, both Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan have built themselves as one of the biggest investors in real estate from Bollywood alongside their celebrated acting careers.

Since 2019, the Bachchans have accounted for over 25% of celebrity real estate transactions in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), amassing around 0.19 million sq. ft. of property worth ₹219 crore. Although they have been investing in properties across India for many years, the last five years have seen a notable increase. Between 2019 and 2024, there has reportedly been a surge in property purchases, with approximately 40 acquisitions across the country.
2024
In 2024 alone, Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek invested more than ₹100 crore in various properties, including residential and commercial spaces in Oshiwara and Magathane (Borivali East) in Mumbai. Media reports suggest that the father-son duo has acquired around 25 properties in the city.

Earlier this year in January, they invested in a land deal in Ayodhya and later bought a 10,000 square-foot plot in Alibaug for ₹10 crore from The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL), as part of the "A Alibaug" project. Celebrities like Aamir Khan and Kriti Sanon have also invested in this project.
In 2024, Both Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan reportedly purchased apartments under builder Signature, Oberoi Sky City Borivali suburb, and Oberoi Eternia in Mumbai. Abhishek purchased 12 residential spaces. Whereas Big B reportedly invested in 9 apartments including commercial spaces from the same builders. The combined investment this year sums up over ₹100 crore.

2023
According to Mint reports, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan invested in about seven properties in 2023. In September of that year, they bought four office units in the Lotus Signature building in Oshiwara and, by November, leased them to Warner Music Pvt Ltd for ₹17.30 lakh per month.
The total purchase cost for these units was ₹28.73 crore. Moreover, As per reports, Amitabh Bachchan alone purchased four units on the 21st floor of this complex for ₹7.18 crore each. Each unit included three car parking slots.
2022
In 2022, the Bachchans bought a spacious new apartment on the 31st floor of the Parthenon Building in Mumbai's Four Bungalows area, where prices of flats start at ₹14 crore.
2021-2020
According to Business Standard, in 2021, Amitabh Bachchan and his son purchased a 5,700 sq ft duplex apartment on the 27th and 28th floors in Andheri West for nearly ₹3.75 crore.
In May 2021, Amitabh Bachchan and his son acquired a 5,184 sq ft property in Mumbai, valued at ₹31 crore, in a project called Atlantis, developed by Crystal Group. According to documents accessed by Zapkey.com, Big B bought the property in December 2020 but registered it in April 2021.
2019
In 2019, Amitabh Bachchan reportedly invested in 25 acres of land in the village of Kakori-Muzaffarnagar-Pali, located near the Agra-Lucknow expressway for ₹15 crores.
Outside Mumbai, the Bachchan family owns an ancestral home in Allahabad, where his father spent most of his days. He also owns several flats in Juhu and Gurugram and bought several pieces of agricultural land in Lucknow and Barabanki. Lastly, he also owns another land in Ahmedabad and a commercial building in Juhu.
Outside India, the actor also owns a lavish bungalow in Plage, France, while his son and daughter-in-law Aishwarya also own separate properties in Mumbai and outside.
