Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are all set to embrace parenthood for the first time. The actor has now reviewed his wife’s latest outing Kalki 2898 AD. The film hit the big screen on June 27 and also stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hasaan and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. The mom-to-be took to her Instagram account to share her husband and audience’s review of the sci-fi movie directed by Nag Ashwin.
Deepika Padukone is currently in her second trimester and is due to deliver her first child in September later this year. As per media reports, the actress was pregnant while filming a few scenes of Kalki 2898 AD. In the movie as well, her character is shown pregnant.
Deepika’s husband Ranveer Singh has now reacted to the same. On July 9, days after the release of Kalki 2898 AD, Deepika Padukone took to her Instagram account to share a video from outside a theatre following the show of Kalki. The video opens with Ranveer saying, ‘It’s like trippy to see a movie like this, where her character is pregnant, and she is pregnant, and it’s like what’s happening.” The mom-to-be also reacted to the response of the science fiction movie saying, “I don't know what to do. I am just a little bit overwhelmed with emotions.” She then goes on to show the audience who reacted positively to the movie upon exiting the theatre.
After watching the sci-fi thriller, the actor took to his Instagram stories and penned a long review. He called the movie "grand cinematic spectacle" and congratulated director Nag Ashwin, "That's what big-screen cinema is all about! An unprecedented level of finesse in technical execution. The very best in Indian cinema." Praising Prabhas and Kamal Haasan, he wrote, "Rebel Star rocks! @actorprabhas Ulaganayagan is forever supreme! @ikamalhaasan".
For Amitabh Bachchan, who played the role of Ashwatthama, Ranveer wrote, "And if you are a die-hard Amitabh Bachchan fan like me..you just can't miss this! @amitabhbachchan." Last but not least, he praised his wife Deepika, who played a pivotal role in the movie. He said that the actress "elevated every moment" with grace and dignity. "Such poignancy, such poetry, such power. You are beyond compare. I love you (red heart emoji)," he concluded.
