'Saaho' box office: Film faces big test on Monday, latest earnings out

'Saaho' featuring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor has been making headlines for quite a while now. The film minted a total of Rs 15 crores on the first weekday.

'Saaho' featuring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor has been making headlines for quite a while now. At first, it was due to the high octane action sequences but once the film was released, it was due to the bad reviews that kept pouring in. However, fortunately, due to the immense fan following enjoyed by Prabhas, 'Saaho'  is nearing Rs 100 crore mark already on its fourth day.

'Saaho' faces real test on Monday: 

However, the film faced its real test on Monday, when the occupancy went down by 50%. 'Saaho' minted a total of Rs 15 crores on the first weekday. Many business and trade analysts took to Twitter to state that the film should have done better given the Ganesh Chathurthi holiday. 

Taran Adarsh reviews 'Saaho'

Taran Adarsh reviewed 'Saaho' as it released on Friday. The film critic described the Prabhas & Shraddha Kapoor starrer as 'unbearable' and rated it one and a half star. Further dishing out details, he claimed that the film lacked is a 'colossal waste of talent, big money, and opportunity'. He further went on to say that the screenplay was quite confusing with the direction being 'amateur'.

About the film 

'Saaho' is an action-entertainment which features Prabhas as an outlaw and Shraddha Kapoor as a police officer. Besides the lead pair, the film stars Jackie Shroff, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Panday, Arun Vijay, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mahesh Manjrekar, Lal, Evelyn Sharma, among others.

‘Saaho’, produced by UV Creations, releases in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, while the Hindi version is presented by T-Series.
