Sandeep Reddy Vanga took to his social media account to pen a note of gratitude for the overwhelming response to the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently basking in the success of his recent outing Animal. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer scripted history by becoming one of the top-grossers in history. As the year came to an end, the filmmaker penned a note of gratitude for the film’s success. 

Sandeep Reddy Vanga thanks ‘incredible Indian audience’ 

On December 31, as 2023 came to a conclusion, Sandeep Reddy Vanga took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share a note. The director, who helmed Animal thanked the audience for making the film a success. He shared a poster of Ranbir Kapoor’s character in Animal with the words “Happy New Year”.  

Along with the poster, the director wrote, “My sincere gratitude & heartfelt thank you to the incredible Indian audience 🤗 🙏 Your love & appreciation have overwhelmed me beyond words🎉 I promise to continue bringing you engaging experiences every time 🙏 #ThankYouIndianAudience  #Gratitude  #HappyNewYear2024 🍾🎂”

Animal nears ₹550 crore at the domestic box office 

Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role hit the big screens in December. The film was released alongside Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur yet dominated the box office. The film opened to a staggering ₹63.8 crore, as per Sacnilk.

At the end of its 5th-week theatrical run, Animal has amassed a total of ₹544.83 crores in India. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in significant roles. Post the success of the first part, a sequel titled Animal Park is confirmed.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga assures OTT will have an extended version of Animal 

After a successful run at the theatres, Animal will be made available on Netflix. Ahead of the film’s digital premiere, the director Sandeep Reddy has assured fans that the OTT version will have an extended version with all scenes included. He said, “I’m currently editing the Netflix version, it will have a few more shots, I should’ve kept the 3-hour 30-minute version but due to pressure I had to cut 8-9 minutes. I’m using that footage for the Netflix version of Animal.”
