Shocking! Saba Azad Says 2-Year Relationship With Hrithik Roshan Limited Work Offers

Saba Azad has been in a relationship for more than two years now. The actress was last seen in the web series Who’s Your Gynac? And has been working as a voiceover artist for years before it. However, the actress chronicled that recently she has faced a lack of work due to her relationship with Hrithik Roshan. 

Saba Azad details how she is out of work for 2 years 

On June 14, Saba Azad took to her Instagram account to share a series of stories on how the amount of voiceover projects she used to get has depleted ever since she had spoken openly about her relationship with Hrithik Roshan. She shared a picture from a voice recording studio and added that she has got work after 2 years. The actress also added that she has voiced over 100 advertisements in her career and yet she had a career gap of 2 years. 

Explaining the gap she asserted that she never said no to any work or hiked her fees which would lead to less work. She recalled seeing a director she used to often work with and asking him point blank about why she was not getting as many projects. He replied saying, “Oh we just thought you wouldn't like to do something like a voice-over anymore.” The reply shocked Saba. In subsequent stories, she explained what the director implied. 

Saba Azad slams the patriarchal mindset for not getting work after a relationship 

In the next story, Saba wrote, “Well, you can imagine what was implied... He didn’t think I would do a job like a VO given where you are in life, ie who I am dating.” She mentioned that the director was one of the best in the business and labeled him ‘super progressive’. She continued, “Are we really still living in the dark ages where we assume a woman in a relationship with a successful partner no longer has to put food on her own table?? Or pay her rent and bills? or take pride in her work and take care of herself and her family??? What kind of an archaic assumption to make (sic)??”

She added, “So I basically lost a whole career that I absolutely loved and appreciated cause people thought I didn't need to work anymore??? This is sadly a one-dimensional patriarchal and regressive mindset (sic).” She concluded, “For the uninitiated, when two strong independent individuals come together they don't give up their identities or their lives and careers to do so. They hold on to their individuality and share a place of freedom and strength. Losing a whole career because of someone else's presumptuous ignorance really hurts. So again, no I haven't quit, all ye makers of ads- I still do VOs. So pls for the love of god undo your assumptions and let's get recording already (sic).” Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad made their relationship public in 2022.
