Shraddha Kapoor Addresses Wedding Rumours With Rahul Mody, Rajkummar Rao Quips About Her 'Boyfriend'

At trailer launch of Stree 2 in Mumbai on July 18, Shraddha Kapoor addressed the persistent wedding rumours with her boyfriend, screenwriter Rahul Mody. When questioned about her marital plans, she quipped, "Vo Stree hai, usse jab shaadi karna hoga, karegi!". The audience erupted in laughter at her sassy response. Rajkummar Rao added to the fun by saying that Stree has a 'boyfriend in the upcoming sequel, referring to the Sarkata Rakshas, and if people want to see what happens, they should visit cinema halls on August 15 and witness themselves.

Shraddha was at her humourous best at the trailer launch of her upcoming film Stree 2. It's her latest film after the success of rom-com Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Interestingly, the actress is rumoured to be in a relationship with screenwriter of the same film Rahul Mody. Reports of them being involved romantically surfaced last year. Since then, the rumoured couple has remained tight-lipped about their private matters, but have made a few public appearances on and off.

They were spotted together at the extravagant bash hosted by the Ambani family in Jamnagar in March. They also attended other pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai. As they are seemingly going strong, speculations surrounding their marriage are sure to gain pace. Shraddha did not shy away from addressing the same at the trailer launch of Stree 2 in Mumbai.

Stree 2 trailer brings back the laughs and what Stree 3 promises

The gang of Chanderi will reunite in Stree 2 to take on the Sarkata Rakshas. The film stars Shraddha Kapoor in the titular role, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana. The horror comedy will hit the big screens on August 15, alongside Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa.

At the trailer launch of Stree 2, producer Dinesh Vijan laid out the plan he has for his ambitious movie universe. "What will come next after Stree will be a film called Thama, which we will tell you about later. We have already written Stree 3, so the gap will be less,” Dinesh said.
