Shraddha Reveals Having Breakdown On Debut Film Teen Patti Set: Told Mom Didn't Want To Go Back

Shraddha Kapoor is enjoying the success of her recently release movie Stree 2. Co-starring Rajkummar Rao, the movie broke several records at the box office and went on to gross ₹739.40 crore in India. Over the years, the actress has become confident and churned out several hit movies. The actress shows that it's easy to ace but it was not the case when she made her acting debut with Teen Patti in 2010.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the actress revealed that she hit a low and didn't want to go work in the acting business after three days of shooting in Teen Patti.

Shraddha Kapoor opens up about her struggles during shooting of Teen Patti

Reflecting on her struggles while shooting her debut movie, Shraddha said people were "not always very nice". Owing to this, she had a breakdown and told her movie that she "didn't want to go back" to the sets of Teen Patti. “I remember on the second or third day, I had a breakdown and told my mom I didn't want to go back, and I didn't understand this world since I had never AD'ed on a film set and was just 20 or 21," she said.

The actress added that during her time shooting Teen Patti, she noticed the harsh reality on set. People on set were treated based on their status. “People were not always very nice cause if you were a 'somebody', you would be suddenly spoken to in a different way, and if you were a nobody, you would be treated like that,” for Shraddha was hard to ignore.

In the same conversation, the actress shared how she evolved and became confident over the years. Her first experience was tough, but by the time she began shooting for her next project, the actress developed strong and realized that newcomers deserved patience and kindness.
