Sidharth Malhotra is currently gearing up for the release of his first web series, Indian Police Force. The Rohit Shetty helmed cop thriller will be made available for streaming in the latter half of January. The promotions for the same recently saw series lead Sidharth Malhotra reunite with his Student of the Year co-star Varun Dhawan.

Sidharth Malhotra was recently out and about in Mumbai in lieu of promoting his upcoming web series Indian Police Force. The same saw the actor end up crossing paths with actor Varun Dhawan. For the unversed, the two had marked their acting debut together in the 2012 romantic comedy Student of the Year, along side then-debutante Alia Bhatt. 

While Alia was missing from the frame, Varun, who appeared to be heading out from a gym session crossed paths with Sidharth. The Student of the Year duo took the opportunity to pose for the paparazzi. A video of the chance encounter also saw the two engage in candid conversation as they smiled for photos. While Varun was seen sporting casual gym wear, Sidharth was dressed in an edgy all-black look.

Indian Police Force marks Sidharth Malhotra's foray into the digital space

Indian Police Force will mark Sidharth's debut in the OTT space. This is also the actor's first ever web series. The trailer for the series was dropped recently by makers and opened to a positive audience response. Speaking at the trailer launch event for the same, Sidharth Malhotra expressed his gratitude for a chance to work with Rohit Shetty.

He said, "As an audience and as an actor, I've admired all his films. Even though he does comedy really well, when it comes to action and portraying the heroes in the most masculine, simple and effective way, I think Rohit Shetty has a great language in it. I was dying to be part of that cop universe." The series will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, starting January 19.
