Singham Again: Ajay Devgn-Deepika Padukone Starrer To Clash With Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 THIS Diwali

Singham Again, starring Ajay Devgn, is one of the highly anticipated movies of this year. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the movie was supposed to clash with Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule at the box office on August 15. However, now the movie has averted the mega clash and announced the new date on Friday morning. This has come after Ajay, during the trailer launch of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, confirmed that the movie has been postponed. While it must have averted the clash with Pushpa 2, it will compete with another hit franchise Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

Rohit Shetty took to his Instagram handle to announce the new release date with a poster which read the names of the actors with the movie's title Singham Again. Towards the end, it read, "Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe roaring this Diwali 2024. "Sher aatank machata hai, zakhmi sher tabahi! See you in the cinemas once again This Diwali!" read his caption. 

The movie co-stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Tiger Shroff, while Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh will be reprising their roles - DCP Veer Sooryavanshi and  Inspector Sangram Bhalerao - respectively.

Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is also slated to hit the theatres on Diwali. It marks the return of Vidya Balan to the franchise and will star Triptii Dimri as the lead actress.

Why Singham Again has been postponed?

Speaking to the media at the event, Ajay was asked about the film’s release on August 15. Responding to the same, the actor mentioned that they do not want to hurry the film just to release it on the proposed date. He added, "Bahut baar jaldi jaldi me kaam kharab ho jata hai, so we will take our time and complete the film".

Previously, a source close to the development of the film told Bollywood Hungama that the movie was delayed as the VFX and background score of the movie were being reworked.
